Kensington Lock is a laptop anti-theft system designed by Kensington Computer Products Group. Today’s laptop offers locking mechanism, it’s a small metal reinforced hole found on almost or laptops.
Kensington locks are generally secured with key or combination lock attached to a rubberized metal cable. The end of the cable has a small loop that allows the cable to be looped around permanent object, such as heavy table or other similar equipment thus securing it in place. So you can use your laptop while in a public places like coffee shops without worrying that your laptop might be lifted by a theft.
But you should watch first this video before you buy since it is very expensive locking mechanism. After watching the video then decide whether you're still going to buy kensington lock to secure your laptop.
